Dr Michelle Brown

Michelle graduated from Victoria University in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Clinical Science and Masters degree in Osteopathy. She is a local, growing up in the Latrobe Valley and attending secondary school in Warragul. She has practiced Osteopathy in Perth and Melbourne, and now works full-time here in Drouin.

Michelle practices with a primarily structural approach to Osteopathy, utilising a combination of both direct and indirect techniques including stretching, articulation, muscle energy technique, soft-tissue, manipulation, counter-strain, visceral and balance ligamentous techniques.

She has a diverse range of interest areas within Osteopathy including treating people of all ages and presentations, from the very young to the elderly. She commonly sees patients that have presentations including headaches, postural related problems, sporting injuries, pregnancy related musculoskeletal changes, age related changes and many more.

Michelle has completed further studies in the musculoskeletal changes that occur during pregnancy, visceral manipulation, paediatric osteopathy, vertigo, the assessment and manipulation of workplace and vehicle ergonomics, and the use of kinesiology taping.

Michelle finds Osteopathy’s holistic approach to healthcare extremely rewarding as it enables her to assist her patients in improving their function and educate them to improve their health awareness and self management.

When Michelle is not working as an Osteopath you will find her out in the garden, walking, or spending time with her family and friends.

Dr Jodie Keal (nee Armstrong)

Jodie joined Drouin Osteopathy in 2021, and has been working as an Osteopath in the local area since 2016. Jodie grew up in West Gippsland, and enjoys treating people within a community that she knows and relates to well. 

Jodie has experience treating many types of musculoskeletal conditions in people of all ages, including but not limited to lower back pain, headaches, postural related pain, joint pain and sports injuries. She has also undergone further education in pre and post natal osteopathic care, and would like to continue to develop her skills in this area.

Jodie uses a combination of hands on techniques within the treatment room, and believes in educating her patients on correct movement patterns to help build strength and stability that they can easily replicate at home day to day.

Outside of work, Jodie enjoys spending time with her family, whether it be outside at the local park or on the water somewhere on their boat. In between working and boating, they are also busy renovating their home.

Dr Kathryn Neumann

Kathryn graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Sciences and Masters of Health Science in Osteopathy and has been practising since 2015.

Kathryn was drawn to Osteopathy for its holistic approach. Whilst at high school and suffering with headaches and back pain, Kathryn saw an Osteopath and loved the experience and the long lasting results she received from treatment. She always loved learning about the human body, anatomy, biomechanics and has a passion for caring for people.

Kathryn enjoys treating patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She has a special interest in treating postural complaints, neck and upper back pain, as well as pregnancy related pain and dysfunctions. She loves getting to the root cause of pain and discomfort. She strongly believes in educating and empowering her patients on how to take their health and wellbeing into their own hands to avoid these dysfunctions from recurring and keep them functioning at their best. 

Kathryn loves to create a fun and engaging space for her treatments and utilises a range of techniques from soft tissue massage, high velocity low amplitude manipulation, articulation, muscle energy techniques, balanced ligamentous tension, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and rehabilitation in her treatments. She believes having a solid and varied toolkit of techniques allows her to work with her patients to utilise the best techniques for them and their needs.

When Kathryn isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dog as well as her family and friends, getting out into nature, going for walks/hikes, cooking and baking.

Dr Leanda Lintzen

Leanda completed her osteopathic qualifications at Victoria University, following five years of study she attained a Bachelor of Science (Clinical) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). During her training, Leanda also attended the University College of Osteopathy in London on a placement to further her clinical skills.

Having always loved helping and caring for others, the holistic practice of osteopathy was the perfect career path. 

Leanda also holds a Bachelor of Nursing and has many years experience working as a nurse which helps to further her understanding of the body. She has maintained her strong focus on patient advocacy and provides an empathic and caring approach to treatment.

Utilising a combination of osteopathic and nursing knowledge, Leanda thoroughly enjoys empowering and helping her patients manage their musculoskeletal complaints and improve their function by providing manual therapy, advice and education. She enjoys seeing outcomes of improvement in mobility and decreased pain levels to enable her patients to get the most out of their life.  

She has a special interest in treating headaches, neck and lower back complaints, and shoulder pain.  She also has an interest in dry needling therapy and finds it extremely useful in treating a wide range of complaints. Leanda also enjoys treating pregnant women and continues to undertake additional studies in this area.

Outside the practice Leanda enjoys heading outdoors with her family and dogs. Leanda also loves to travel, some of her favourite countries include Spain, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
